In 1997, The Houston Full Gospel Holy Temple Church held their first service in July,at the Ramada Inn Hotel. Church services were held twice a week in a 10 x 10 room with a glass door. We were told by the hotel attendant that we didnt have enough people to get a regular banquet room. Instead we got the old gift shop area to begin having church until we grew. But with a handful of people and a steadfast determination, our journey began and the Lord did not disappoint. Pastor Andre L. Lee and his lovely wife, Evangelist Amy Lee embarked upon a mission to reach souls under the astute leadership of Founder and Overseer of the Full Gospel Holy Temple Churches Incorporated, Dr. Apostle Lobias Murray and Dr. Evangelist Shirley Murray. The Lord blessed in every service and souls were delivered, refreshed and set free. Somehow the word got out about the ministry and people found us and were in search of new life. Soon our membership began to grow and the 10x10 room could no longer facilitate our growth, so services were moved to banquet rooms. Over the next few months, we located a building that was in need of renovation while continuing to have church in the hotel. This old building over the years was everything from a feed store for animals to a paint and body shop. But God saw fit to allow us to convert it to place of deliverance. After much prayer, hard work, and finance we held our first church service in this renovated building at 5132 Pinemont Drive in December of 1997 with borrowed chairs and no air conditioning or heat. The Building Dedication was held February of 1998 by Dr. Apostle Lobias Murray. In December of 1998, the Helping Hands Ministry was implemented and the first Christmas Giveaway was held. Since that time, the Helping Hands Ministry has expanded to include Feeding the Homeless, Bible and Blanket Giveaways, and Back to School Giveaways. In the year of 2000 the Good News Broadcast on Cable Television and Radio was established. In the Summer of 2001 God blessed us to reach a harvest of souls through various ministries such as Witnessing, Street Service, Nursing Homes and Womens Shelters.
In 2002 Youth programs such as Mentorship, Boys to Men, Girls of Distinction, Teen Summits, and Youth Shut-Ins were formulated in an effort to encourage todays youth and teach them the responsibility of living a Godly life.Recognizing the necessity for adequate room because of the influx of souls, God place a vision on Pastor Lees heart to purchase land and build a larger edifice to facilitate our growth and desire to spread the gospel to people of all walks of life. In November of 1994, Houston Full Gospel Holy Temple Church paid cashed and purchased just over an acre of land from the YMCA. On September 5, 2005, the excitement began at the Groundbreaking Service and Celebration where Pastor Lee proclaimed, The Best Is Yet to Come! God allowed Pastor Lee to oversee all aspects and phases of the construction process from concept to completion of Phase I which included a Chapel, Fellowship Hall, Library, Nursery, Executive Offices, and multiple classrooms. Our first service was held on a Friday, April 28, 2006 at 5925 Knox Street. All the saints gathered for service in the newly constructed sanctuary as Pastor Lee delivered the first message entitle, Its Good For Us To Be Here This message has resonated in the minds and hearts of the people from that day forward. God confirmed his presence in the building by saving and filling with Holy Ghost in the very first service in the new sanctuary, and adding membership to the church. The constructions plans for Phase II haven been finalized and are pending city approval, which should come by the Summer of 2008. Phase II of construction includes a 300 seat auditorium, Christian book store and a host of other amenities. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2008. STATEMENT OF FAITH

We Believe...

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead; that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor.

That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word; and by the Holy Ghost.

Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.

In the baptism of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

In the Lord's supper and washing of the Saints' feet.

In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living Saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked.

In dressing in modest apparel according to I Timothy 2:9-10 and I Corinthians 11:14-15; and also Deuteronomy 22:5.

Pastor, Andrè L. Lee

The impact is indelible and the anointing is undeniable. With a fire in his spirit and an unrelenting determination Pastor Andrè L. Lee has dedicated his life to the fulfillment of Gods Will. Pastor Lee was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 12 and was called to preach the word at the age of 13 years old. Throughout the following years the lord nurtured and anointed his Evangelistic Ministry while he labored as a pillar and armor bearer in the Full Gospel Holy Temple Ministry founded by Dr. Apostle Lobias Murray and Dr. Evangelist Shirley Murray. Growing up as a saved young person, Pastor Lee understood the difficulties that surrounded young individuals living right in a wrong world. He has always had a special place in his heart for young people and has implemented several programs and ministries geared to reach and encourage todays youth. Programs such as Youth Summit, Teen Shut-Ins, Youth Revival, Crusades & Mentorship Programs God has afforded Pastor Lee the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the U.S. preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and confirms the word with signs, miracles and gifts of the Holy Ghost. After serving God faithfully in ministerial capacities for several years, the pastoral mantle fell upon his life in the year of 1997. Once again Pastor Lee embraced the call of God and began crying out as a voice in the wilderness compelling men and women to come to Christ. This anointed ministry has grown tremendously since its inception and the passion that Pastor Lee has for preaching is only parallel by his intensity in which he delivers his message. High Energy and excitement is a staple in every sermon as Pastor Lee fervently declares, Charge the Atmosphere with a Praise.

First Lady, Evang. Amy L. Lee

Evangelist Amy Lee dedicated her life to God at the age of 15. She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at Full Gospel Holy Temple Church of Simmesport, Louisiana, under the leadership of Elder Arthur Drummer. The Lord soon called her to the ministry at the age of 17. She faithfully served on the Usher Board and as a Primary Teacher for the Sunday School Department. She was also blessed to raise her younger siblings in the Full Gospel Ministry after the death of her mother. Throughout the years, God began to anoint her Evangelistic Ministry. She was one of the first speakers during the first Annual Youth Congress which was spear-headed by Apostle Lobias Murray and Evang. Shirley Murray, Overseers of the Full Gospel Holy Temple, Inc. in Dallas, TX. On June 12, 1992, Evangelist Lee became a devoted wife to Pastor Andrè Lee and they were blessed to have two beautiful daughters Alyssah and Alaynah. Evangelist Lee became the First Lady of Houston Full Gospel Holy Temple in July 1997, thus elevating the calling that God had on her life. Evangelist Lee knew that such a calling would require a greater sacrifice of herself, and she was and still is willing to be obedient to God! Evangelist Lee works diligently by the side of her husband declaring the whole counsel of God. Her concern for souls led her to become the President of the Full Gospel Annual Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Back to School Give-aways which are held each year to help those in need. Evangelist Lee has a compassion for the youth of today. She has dedicated countless hours laboring in the Gospel with the Youth Department determining to make a difference in the lives of Gods young people.

Since then, God has blessed Evangelist Lee to be inspirational in the vision that Pastor Andrè Lee had for a new edifice in Houston. Through much labor and prayer, God has blessed them to see the completion of Phase I of this new edifice in May of 2006. With an even greater desire to reach the lost, Evangelist Lee is anticipating a mega harvest of souls as she prepares for Phase II of Pastor Andrè Lees vision. Evangelist Lee is truly a woman to be admired because of her great love for God and people.
